Il secondo singolo ad essere estratto da “chase This Light” 5° studio album della band pop/punk Jimmy eat the World è Always Be,uno dei migliori brani dell’album, un pezzo pop/rock che ti prende fin dai primi ascolti granzie anche al giro di chitarre chè c’è all’inizio della prima strofa .

In america la canzone ha ricevuto un discreto successo raggiungendo la 14° posizione della chart “Modern Rock Tracks”. Il video è molto simpatico e si svolge durante una gita scolastica di un gruppo di studenti all’interno di un museo,focalizzando l’attenzione in particolar modo su due ragazzi innamorati l’uno dell’altro…vi lascio alla visione….

James Blunt estrae il terzo singolo da “All the lost soul“, Si tratta di Carry you home, una ballata dal tono un pò amaro,che in qualche modo ricorda “GoodBye My Lover”.Sinceramente lo stile di James ha un pò stancanto,ok i testi saranno molto belli e profondi ma ascoltando questo nuovo album si ha l’impressione di ascoltare più o meno sempre la stessa cosa.

Infatti anche le vendite del disco non sono eccellenti, solo 3 milioni copie contro le 10 milioni di copie “Back to Bedlam“, evidentemente qualcosa non ha funzionato in questo disco e speriamo che in un futuro lavoro Blunt possa dare sfogo a una maggiore creatività.Tutto sommato questo pezzo non è malaccio,grazie anche a un video ben fatto…vi lascio alla visione…

Ritorna dopo il grandissimo successo di “Upside Down” il serfista cantautore “Jack Johnson”. Il nuovo pezzo si chiama If I Had Eyes e ha anticipato il nuovo disco “Sleep Through the Static” uscito nei primi giorni di Febbraio. Disco che in un solo mese è riuscito a vendere oltre a un milione mezzo di copie.

Il nuovo brano è nel classico stile di Johnson: semplice, allegro e spensiarato! Sembra che al momento questo tipo di musica vada molto forte,visto che sono tantissimi gli artisti che si stanno affermando con questo genere tra l’acustico il folk e il pop con alcune contaminazioni di rock!. Il video è in bianco e nero ma cambia tonalità in base alle scene.semplice come la canzone…..vi lascio alla visione…
