Dall’Inghilterra arrivano i The Coral,,famosi qui in italia per la loro hit “In the morning” che spopolo qualche anno fa e adesso è la sigla di un noto spot tv.

Nel frattempo la band indie rock ha continuato a sfornare nuovi lavori,l’ultimo risale all’estate del 2007 dal titolo “Roots&Echos” dove è contenuta “Put the Sun Back” nuovo singolo del gruppo. Il brano ha un suono molto rilassante e dolce e allo stesso tempo è emozionante grazie alla bella e particolare voce del cantante. Il video è al quanto semplice ma si adatta benissimo con questa canzone….vi lascio alla visione….

Nuovo singolo per la band The Hoosiers (già noti come The Hoosier Complex), dopo il successo di Goodbye Mr A ,ci propongono Worried Abount ray.Canzone che ha già ha avuto un ottimo successo in uk dove si è piazzata direttamente al numero 5 della classifica dei singoli più veduti. I The Hoosiers sono una band indie pop anglo-svedese.

I membri sono: Irwin Sparkes (voce,chitarra), Martin Skarendahl (basso) e Alfonso “Alan” Sharland (batteria).Passando per Exeter, Reading e Stoccolma la band si è proposta di creare un nuovo sound da loro chiamato “odd pop”, un sound che combina molti generi musicali al suo interno.La band cita di aver avuto esperienze musicali da gruppi come The Cure, Jeff Buckley, The Flaming Lips ed XTC.. La canzone è abbastanza carina,un pò meno orecchiabile del singolo precedente…vi lascio alla visione del video…

Ritorna sulle scene musicali l’ex Skunk Anansie “Skin“che forse ci regalera un nuovo album in questo 2008,la cosa sicuramente certa è che la cantante ha collaborato con Andrea Guerra firmando la canzone della colonna sonora di “Parlami d’amore“, il nuovo film di Silvio Muccino in uscita il 14 febbraio. Il singolo si chiama “Tear down these houses” .

Brano molto soft accompagnato dalla bellissima voce di Skin,il testo è stato scritto da Skin sulle note del tema principale del film, la cui musica è stata interamente composta da Andrea Guerra, già autore delle canzoni “Gocce di memoria” (interpretata da Giorgia per il film “La finestra di fronte”) .La stessa Skin, Muccino e Carolina Crescentini sono i protagonisti del video che è stato trasmesso per la prima volta il 14 gennaio.

Arriva nelle radio il secondo singolo del Gruppo Indie Inglese Hard-Fi, dopo il discreto successo Suburban Knights. Si tratta di Can’t Get ALong(Without You),una canzone con una lunga storia. Infatti il brano è stato scritto ai tempi in cui la band si chiamava Contempo e doveva essere inserita nell’album Stars of CCTV ma visto che il suono della canzone spazia tra r&b e Soul, il leader del gruppo”Richard Archer” non ha trovato opportuno aggiungerla nel precedente lavoro cosa che invece non è avvenuta per questo secondo album. La canzone parla di un uomo che si sente distrutto dopo aver lasciato la donna che ama,in un primo momento pensa che sia giusto cosi ma è ovvio che non lo è.

Perciò cerca in tutti modi di trovare una soluzione per riconquistarla, il cantante ci tiene a precisare che il testo è un pò autobiografico e si riferisce a un qualcosa di simile che gli è accaduto in passato!Video abbastanza banale è pensare che i video di Cash Machine e Suburban Knights sono fatti propio bene questo non mi piace granche,non capisco cosa centri con la canzone!Be in conclusione la canzone è carina sa di anni 70 potrebbe avere successo,in italia non penso ma Uk o nel resto dell’europa si. Ancora un altra band “Indie ROck” proveniente dell’Inghilterra sto parlando dei Kaiser Chiefs,che quest’anno hanno pubblicato il loro secondo album “Yours Truly, Angry Mob”di cui vi è stata estratta la hit “Rudy”.
