Dream Catch me è il primo grande successo di NewTon che ha raggiunto la settima posizione della UK chart e adesso è pronta per conquistare l’italia. Un pezzo folk/acustico molto bello che trasmette spensieratezza e armonia,molto carino anche il video….vi lascio alla visione….

James Blunt – Carry you home (video + testo + traduzione)

James Blunt estrae il terzo singolo da “All the lost soul“, Si tratta di Carry you home, una ballata dal tono un pò amaro,che in qualche modo ricorda “GoodBye My Lover”.Sinceramente lo stile di James ha un pò stancanto,ok i testi saranno molto belli e profondi ma ascoltando questo nuovo album si ha l’impressione di ascoltare più o meno sempre la stessa cosa.

Infatti anche le vendite del disco non sono eccellenti, solo 3 milioni copie contro le 10 milioni di copie “Back to Bedlam“, evidentemente qualcosa non ha funzionato in questo disco e speriamo che in un futuro lavoro Blunt possa dare sfogo a una maggiore creatività.Tutto sommato questo pezzo non è malaccio,grazie anche a un video ben fatto…vi lascio alla visione…

Goldfrapp – A&E (video + testo)

Dopo due anni di assenza torna il gruppo elettronico dei goldfrapp e lo fa con A&E che è il primo singolo estratto da Seventh Tree, il quarto album in uscita il 25 febbraio.

A&E per chi non lo sapesse sta per ” Accident and Emergency” ed un brano che ti rapisce dalle prime note grazie anche ai bellissimi acuti della cantante, certo conoscendo il gruppo è pensando un pò al precedente album si rimane leggermente delusi da questo primo singolo molto calmo e dolce,ma allo stesso tempo si riscontra lo stile sensuale della loro musica.Il video è stato diretto da Dougal Wilson è vede la cantante immersa in una foresta, dove a tratti prendono vita delle creature formate da foglie. vi lascio alla visione del video…

Sheryl Crow – Love Is Free (video + testo)

Il 2008 sarà ricordato per il ritorno della grandi dive,una di loro senza dubbio è Sheryl Crow che in America è considerata un icona nazionale. la Crow torna con un nuovo album dal titolo Detours e lo fa a distanza di 3 dall’ultimo lavoro Wildflower che le frutto il disco di platino.

Il disco contiene 14 traccie e uscirà i primi di Febbraio, Il primo singolo ufficiale è Love is Free un pezzo pop/folk che personalmente mi ha preso fin dai primi ascolti. La canzone ha tenuto a precisare Sheryl, che l’ha scritta ispirandosi alla città di New Orleans e ai suoi cittadini e al disastro che avvenne qualche anno fa. Il video è abbastanza di carino ci sono alternanze di scene a colori e in bianco e nero…vi lascio al video…

James Blunt – Same mistake (video + testo)

Dopo il grandissimo successo di ” 1973“, James blunt è pronto ha lanciare il suo secondo singolo dal suo venduttissimo album All the lost soul. Si trtta di Same Mistake,anche questo pezzo conferma la bravura dell’artista inglese e la semplicità con cui riesce a scrivere i suoi brani pieni di vita e realtà cosi vicine a noi.

Mi sembra una canzone molto adatta per l’inverno che sta arrivando anche se mi ricorda un pò The Scientist dei Coldplay specialmente quel verso di ululato che c’è in entrambie le canzoni. Il video è stato girato in Canada a Toronto e vede la regia di Jonas Akerlund, che conosciuto per aver lavorato con Madonna e Christina Aguilera. Cosa Ne pensate? vi lascio al video….

Colbie Caillat – Bubbly (video + testo)

Il 2007 è un anno di nuove nascite musicali, dopo quella di Leona Lewis anche un’altra giovane artista fa il suo debutto nel marcato discografico sto parlando di Colbie Caillat. Figlia d’arte infatti i suoi genitori sono dei famosi produttori di musica perciò non è stato difficile per lei avere la possibilità di pubblicare un disco, indubbiamente non manca di talento e infatti l’ha dimostrato subito con il primo singolo Bubbly che in poco tempo è diventata una delle canzoni più suonate su my space e adesso è volata nelle prime posizioni delle classifiche americane.

Musica soft,voce angelica e alcuni richiami a generi musicali come il folk,soul e R’&b ne hanno fatto di lei una star. Video molto carino girato vicino al mare si sposa benissimo con la musica e da voglia di tornare in estate,non trovate che lei assomgli a jessica biel?….vi lascio al video…cosa ne pensate?commentate…
